Our Vision
Our vision is to show the love of Christ to the underserved in Tampa Bay by providing excellent care. MercyMed of Tampa exists to proclaim the transformative love of Christ through affordable and accessible healthcare to anyone who walks through our doors regardless of their socioeconomic status, insurance coverage, or care requirements. We long for the day when we open our doors to bring affordable quality healthcare to the Tampa Bay area for the distinctive purpose of showcasing the love of Christ while honoring the dignity of every human life.
Our Community
Our nation stands at a critical inflection in terms of the state of our collective health and the current medical care system. Currently, nearly 24 million Americans are uninsured or underinsured, and a staggering 2.5 million of them live in Florida. Hillsborough County has over 170,000 uninsured or underinsured residents under the age of 65, of which over 30,000 are unemployed. These factors have been proven to limit or prevent access to adequate healthcare. Many live in fear that a simple sickness or minor accident has the potential to quickly turn into a medical crisis for themselves, their children, or their loved ones. MercyMed of Tampa has actively sought and established vital community partnerships, in order to commit resources to bring affordable quality healthcare to the Tampa Bay area. Our goal is to alleviate those fears and to showcase the love of Christ while honoring the dignity of every human life.
